Become an Environmental Protection Specialist

For one's environmentalism to be truly effective, a participant has to adopt a two-fisted approach: striving with one hand to be an improved environmental protection specialist, and striving with the other hand to protect the health of the environment-that is, seeking positive change with one hand directed inward towards the self and the other directed outward towards the environment. It is always wise to seek to improve both the environment and the environmentalist. The Heartwood Path is devoted to saving the world through three central means: 1) ways to develop the participating individual, 2) ways to improve that individual's relationships, and 3) ways to protect the environment. As you will discover in the Heartwood Path, all three approaches are necessary for substantial and lasting change.

Ways to Protect the Environment

Don Pierce is a committed environmental protection specialist and activist. He authored the Heartwood Path series of books to provide guidance to individuals seeking to find more fulfillment in life. There is, however, more to gain from the Heartwood Path than individual fulfillment, though it cannot be understated how gratifying it is to be content with your life and circumstances. The Heartwood Path is a plan to save the world. That may sound ambitious, but it is something that has to be realized for the continued existence of humanity. The interconnectedness of the health of the environment, as well as one's own mental and physical health, is an aspect of finding lasting fulfillment along the Heartwood Path. The next step is strengthening your relationships with others and empowering them to do the same. This is how lasting, significant, and rewarding social reform is born.
